Why Become
A Volunteer?
Certified Volunteer Representatives
are independent citizen advocates who visit
the residents of long-term care facilities and identify complaints
or concerns. They work independently to investigate
these complaints and work with the staff to resolve
problems, advocating from the resident point of view.
Certified
Volunteer Representatives advocate, educate, and
investigate on behalf of the resident, for the
resident, to protect their rights and dignity. This
role is best suited for someone that has 3-5 flexible hours
to volunteer every 90 days.
Recruitment
and Screening is a part of our process for volunteer
ombudsman applicants in our three county area of Cobb,
Douglas and Fulton counties. We also create
public awareness about the program and its
services.
